how many Megabytes I need to use to make 12GB’s?

Is it 12,000?

I can do all sorts of conversions on my phone, but not puter data one’s… heeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeee pleeeeeeeeease 🙂

1GB = 1024MB

so

12GB = 1024 x 12 = 12,288MB

Use 12,000 as a rule of thumb.

Technically Jane is correct – there are 1024 Megabytes in a Gigabyte.

But I am guessing you are sizing a hosting package and somewhere in the small print it probably says 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes and 1 GB = 1,000 MB (as when you use smaller MB and GB it makes you allowance sound more impressive)

Same with hard disks and probably flash drives.
